Philosophy

Since 2003 I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the finest visual artists across the world. While working on a project I strive to treat every syllable as if it was going to make the final cut.  Recording critical audio consistently challenges me to be prepared, to be an active problem solver, and to maintain a standard of excellence throughout the entire production.

Life defining moments come in small packages.  It's sharing small talk with John Travolta between takes and being deep in a favela filming a capoeira competition in Brazil. It's mixing audio on an unruly horse in the Badlands of Alberta and running alongside a sea of worshippers during the largest Hindu festival in the history of India.  It is more than just a career, it is a personal and professional dedication.

I have a broad understanding of the audio needs of both film and television, locally and abroad.  I can assist on any sized project and provide for its equipment and technical needs.  Please contact me for more information.

“We can only record what is in the room...It doesn’t make a difference what mics you use. All of the subtleties of the human voice; the quiet breaths and sighs, the minute details, all add to the effectiveness of a performance. It is our job to capture it to the best of our ability”
